Here's what people are saying about Lakeview Christian Home.
The employees noticed him. He would come to Blake's often to get a large milkshake. He was kind, polite and friendly and he had been coming in for awhile. Some days he would get more than one. Everyone wondered how he kept from gaining weight with all the milkshakes he bought. One day an employee noticed his "Chaplain" badge and asked him about it. Turns out, he is Terry McKean, Lakeview's Hospice Chaplain and winner of the Lakeview's Employee of the Year Award for 2010. (Those credentials tell you something about the man!) And the shakes he bought were for Lakeview's Hospice patients -- not for him. He visits these patients daily and there is always someone who would enjoy a cool, smooth, comforting taste of a milkshake.
But this story is not about Terry. It is about Blake's Lotaburger in Carlsbad. When they heard about Terry's giving spirit, they decided that they wanted to be involved. They have been doing their part by providing free milkshakes for Terry to give to the residents of Lakeview Christian Home. What a wonderful gesture of love for our patients. Thank you Blake's for being a business with a "Lota Heart"!
